What's happening right now in Palestine is by every definition, genocide, ethnic cleansing,

apartheid, and settler colonialism.

And I want to explain what those definitions mean to you because what you're watching

is not a war, it's not a conflict, it's genocide, it's ethnic cleansing, it's apartheid,

it's settler colonialism, and you need to know those terms because what you're watching

and witnessing unfold in real time, funded by American tax dollars, using American

made and built and shipped weapons is something truly evil.

Let me unpack and explain it.

Do you hear that?

I understand that a lot of times we just repeat what we hear on the news.

We just kind of pair it some terms and phrases and ways of framing a story that we hear

other people using.

And so what you'll often hear now, you'll hear this being called a war.

Times you'll hear it called a conflict, but both of those terms are woefully inadequate

and inaccurate.

First we need to understand that what has been imposed on Palestinians from Israel according

to every single human rights organization in the world that covers this.

Here's a system of apartheid.

Now it is not just apartheid because there are things going on that actually never happened

in apartheid, but it is absolutely, completely, totally apartheid.
