the legendary Bill Clinton convention speech, which went on forever, and in which he only got

wild cheers when he finally said those two magic words in closing.

Michael Dukakis will never, never, never forget it. In closing. Michael DuCoccus will never, never, never forget it. In closing.

But what has been all but lost to history is that this was not Clinton's acceptance speech

at the Democratic National Convention at Madison Square Garden on July 16, 1992.

This was Clinton's keynote speech in 1988 at the Democratic National Convention, where he was

introducing the nominee Michael Dukakis.
