Summary

Last night I learned something truly preposterous. Tennessee State University, which is one of the most important Black colleges in America, is owed $2.1 BILLION by the state and federal government after a federal research project determined they, and other Black colleges, were systemically underfunded for years. This is the literal definition of systemic racism. Today I want to unpack this story and also talk about what we can learn from the bigoted members of Congress that are about to shut the government down. Let me unpack and explain it.
