Summary

Laura has taken the decision to interrupt the Gabby Petito series to share her preliminary analyses and deconstruction of the confession letter written by Brian Laundrie, which was published on Friday 24th June. The publication of Brian Laundrie’s notebook and so-called confession is huge. The timing of it being published and the contents are fascinating. The notebook was found in Brian’s drybag by his father, Christopher Laundrie, on October 20 2021. It was released to the media by Steve Bertolino on behalf of the Laundries on Friday, following a meeting with the FBI at the Tampa Field Office. You won’t want to miss this. 0:33.0	released by the Laundry family attorney. But Bryan claiming it was a mercy killing
0:37.8	that Gabby had fallen and was in pain. Riding in part, I ended her life. I thought it was
0:43.7	merciful that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.
0:50.4	Federal authorities say Bryan strangled Gabby to death in Wyoming and returned home to Florida
0:55.6	alone, sparking a nationwide search. Her remains later found near Grand Teton National Park.
1:02.4	Bryan and his family declined to speak with law enforcement or Gabby's parents.
1:07.2	Bryan then disappeared himself. Authorities say they found his body in a swamp near his family's
1:12.8	home next to a notebook with that written confession saying he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
1:19.3	Gabby's family has filed a civil lawsuit against Bryan's parents accusing them of intentional
1:25.0	inflection of emotional distress. The Laundry's attorney has called the case baseless and is seeking
1:30.8	to dismiss it. A judge will decide whether the Laundry's will face a jury within the next few weeks.
