Hey everyone, welcome to the Wire to Hunt Foundation's podcast which is brought to you by

First Light. I'm your host Tony Peterson and today's episode is all about trying to figure

out what your hunting competition is doing and then to do something totally different from them.

I really believe that one of the things that public land hunting does for a fellow is teaches

him how everyone else hunts, you know, where the

stands are going to be, where the cameras are, where people park. It's all on display if you look around.

It's a valuable lesson into how you might want to do things

differently. This isn't just a public land thing though. It applies to private land

hunts as well and actually might be a little more relevant to that crowd because

they might be less likely to understand why this is important.

I honestly think what I'm going to talk about now is one of the keys to being a really successful

white-tail hunter no matter where you live.

And it doesn't get a whole lot of love from the hunting media but I think

that's unfortunate and you're about to hear why right now.

Have you ever heard of a guy named Igna Semmelweis? Probably not. He was a Hungarian

doctor who worked at the Vienna General Hospital for a handful of years back in the

mid 1800s. The thing about that hospital was that it was not only a fully functioning medical facility,

it was also an institution designed for teaching.
