Illinois basketball and Illinois football and focus on a spring team that should have your

attention. That's Illinois baseball, which was projected after only its second losing season

in 17 years under Dan Hartlebe. It was projected before the season to be middle of the pack in the

Big 10, 7th, 8, most projections, had Illinois finishing.

But here, Illinois with two Big Ten series remaining, six Big Ten games remaining,

is atop the Big Ten standings with a chance to win its third Big Ten title since 2011 and first

since 2015.

And Illinois also trying to make a push for its first NCAA tournament since 2019.

So we need insight on this Illinois baseball team, and I figured the best person is the guy who's seen almost every game this year and called almost every pitch this year.
