Texas Republican lawmakers are attempting to restore election integrity measures, many

of which fell by the wayside during the crazy COVID election year.

So very simple stuff, voter ID, that kind of stuff.

They've got the votes.

They've got the support of the people.

There is no legal way to stop them from restoring election integrity.

So the Democrat lawmakers in Texas fled the state.

They actually chartered a plane and got out of the state.

Now the shenanigans are not going to last forever.

They're actually ending right this very minute as I speak.

But it does represent a very disturbing trend among these Democrat lawmakers, namely they

have no trust in democracy whatsoever.

This goes a long way, I think, toward explaining why public trust is cratering in the media,

in the public health experts, and even in our elections.
