Welcome to talking scripture, I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be in

ether 12 through 15. This is the conclusion of the record of ether and in this text we're going to see the disintegration of the

Jaredites but before we get there in the 15th chapter Morona is going to do the

opposite so instead of disintegration we're going to talk about building up we're going to do the opposite. So instead of disintegration, we're going to talk about building up.

We're going to talk about faith and Jesus.

And there's a really cool invitation at the end of this 12th chapter, Bryce.

So when you teach this, what are some things that you talk about when you approach

ether 12? Anytime ether 12 is in your block you get to talk about faith. And I love

Moroni's definition here. He gives us several definitions of faith starting in verse

4 if you believe who so believeth in God might with a surety hope for a better world which hope cometh of faith.

Then in verse six he says,

I would show into the world that faith is things which are hope for

and not seen.

Wherefore dispute not because ye see not for you receive no witness until after the trial of your

faith. Now I love those I love Alma 29 you know this it's this idea of not disputing because you don't see.

Years ago I came across a definition of faith from C.S. Lewis that really helped me put my hands around it.

I wanted to just say give me a definition. that really helped me put my hands around it.
