So, Erica, you're going to share a little bit with us about what a typical meditation

And I'm sure people assume when we're talking about taking a few minutes to possibly give a mindfulness

meditation a try. I'm sure we all assume it's supposed to be easeful with a clear mind and

pure bliss, but it's usually not what it looks like. L.O.L. I was, I, I, I, I, I don't know when this was over the winter or something.

I wrote a, well, quote unquote blog about this, but it was a live stream of conscious of my brain whilst meditating.

And I thought of it the other day again.

And I just thought it would be funny because we, I get a lot of of questions like shouldn't my mind be turned off and shouldn't I feel more

I don't like to do this it's really hard my you know my thoughts and I'm like dude the first 10

minutes are just pure chaos so we're only going to do I was just going to like literally I was just

truly just going to like close my eyes and like tell you what was in my head as I started a meditation.

And we're only going to do a few minutes, just to, like, set an example.

And know that what you're sharing is absolutely what meditation is supposed to look like, because I think we have a lot of preconceived notions like we're supposed to be calm and you know see no no and they actually say you know they whoever they is like you don't get a lot from like if you listen to like meditation podcasts or if you talk to like especially in like the buddhist realm they I'm sure they talk about it if you dig deeply enough but

usually when you start reading that stuff they're assuming you have some level of this right

but if you if you listen or read things like um the 10% happier exactly 10% happier by Dan Harris
