We're the Confederates proto-Nazis.

This is a really stupid argument that needs to be discussed.

Confederates were the Nazis in the 1860s or proto-Nazis.

This is just a really bad argument, but it's one that's been made by the left, the progressive left, and for a number of years.

In fact, just recently there was a piece by a University of Texas professor, Rob Jansen,

that made this claim again, that somehow the Confederates were

Nazis based on ideology. Now, Clyde Wilson actually wrote a really good rebuttal to this
