On this past Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri, a brilliant, kind, compassionate young black

boy named Ralph Yara simply rang the doorbell of a home one street over from where he was

actually supposed to be to pick up his young brothers. He simply typed the address wrong

in Google Maps and showed up at what he thought was the right house. It actually looks just like

the house one street over. And through the glass door, the white man who answered, shot Ralph,

Ralph went flying and then shot him again in his arm in his head, Ralph then fleeing for his life

running on adrenaline, goes to multiple homes asking for help and gets none.

Until someone finally sees him and tells him to put his hands behind his head,

I kid you not. We're fighting for justice today. For Ralph Yara, we're fighting for accountability.

Let me unpack and explain the story and give you some action steps.

This story breaks my heart in a unique way because Ralph is literally the exact same age as my son

Ezekiel and Ralph who's a new driver, my son who's a new driver thought he was going to the right

address. He in fact, I have the full address just so you all know, I have the full address of where

Ralph was supposed to be. I just want you to know we know where this man lives.

Ralph was picking up his siblings, his young brothers at a house on North East,

115th Terrace. Right, but mistakenly went to a house on North East, 115th Street. Now why?

They have those two addresses that close together like why cities and counties do this foolishness.

I presume that Ralph typed it into Google Maps and when he saw the 115th Street and he typed

in the street number which we know when he typed it all in, he hit the one that he thought was the

right one and confidently. And I've done this. We've all done this confidently went to the house

that he thought he was supposed to go to. It actually looks just like the house he was supposed
