Chuck Arfine here, and today on the podcast I sit down with White Sox GM, Rick Hahn.

It's been a really quiet winter meetings.

As we tape this, no moves have been made,

but Rick did have a lot to say in the interview. I asked him about the interest in Jose Abraeu.

Forget about trading him. How about extending him? I asked Rick about that. I've come up also with two free agent pitchers that I want the White

Sox to sign. And one is a serious candidate. The other is mainly for comedy, but I'd

like both of them to play for the White Sox. So we talked about that. And you know, the big

takeaway, actually, there are two big takeaways from the interview. One is, is that the

socks are going to be very busy next off season. The winter

meetings are going to be in Las Vegas of all places. There are some huge names who are expected

to hit the open market. And Rick talks about how active the White Sox are going to be. And the

second big thing, Rick came into the room for our interview and said that the next time

we do a remote White Sox Talk podcast, he wants to be there. You might have to wait in line though because Frank Thomas has already lined up, but I think we can make room for the White Sox GM. And you're all going to be invited. So we've got that plus Jerry Reinsdorf on Jim Tome making the Hall of Fame and White Sox discussion with Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago.
