Holly Bateman is sitting right across from me.

Halley, I'm so excited to have you.

Thank you so much for having me.

This is the most exciting, no one has ever been in my home before,

and if you don't know howly I think you

probably know her on Instagram if you saw her work you'd be like oh my God I

know exactly who holly is she is an illustrator she made up that word we

just talked about it she is the author of a wonderful book

called What to Do When I'm Gone, which you wrote with your mom. I did. It's a mother's wisdom

to her daughter. I've recommended it to several friends. The day that I bought it when it

came out, I could not read it because I got too emotional. It was too emotional.

I hear that a lot. I hear from people who can't bring themselves to read it and I have to promise them a read it whenever you're ready and B it's funny it's funny it's a funny

it's a funny book so there's not like don't be too scared. It's funny.

No it's funny. It kind of deals with grief and you know it is a it's you and your

mother kind of concocted this sort of blueprint for what you will do after she goes.

It's your art and it's your heart also, like you, your relationship is here and I really love that.

And the best way that I can describe Halle's art and work and aesthetic is very similar to, do you remember the Amelia's notebook series of our youth?

It was no I don't think so.
