Well, I am Jen Jewel, and I have the honor of hosting this faith-fueled conversation-style podcast,

which unleashes a brand new episode into your earbuds every other Tuesday.

We are partnered with the women of my church,

Life Church, as well as some incredibly brave women from all over the greater Capital C Church.

We're on the same team. And like Revelation 1211 tells us, our enemy is conquered by Jesus' ultimate

sacrifice and by the words of our testimonies, sharing, writing, speaking

what he's done in our actual lives.

So as you are already keenly aware, there's just been a ton of hard these past several

months.

Obviously, the global pandemic with COVID-19, the economic impact that's dominoed because

of it, and then the ongoing, heartbreaking injustices

and racial tensions that continue to wound our nation. And on that topic specifically, I want to

encourage anyone and everyone to listen to Episode 32 with Sharon Hester, where she shares what it

looks like to cross lines and build bridges.

But today, I am joined by an honestly amazing woman who's encouraged my own faith in a big way,

who's had to walk through and live through some of the hardest, darkest days any one of us could imagine.

Emily Freeman is a pastor's wife and mama of seven.

She, alongside of her husband, Jeremy, have learned and modeled what it looks like to trust God in life and in death. In the great, wonderful times,

and in the excruciatingly hard times. They've seen miracles unfold before their very eyes,

and they've also known the deepest of griefs.
