Thoughts and prayers that to David Gibbs and his family, the Atlanta secondary coach,

is resigning due to medical reasons. Brett Bielmo just talked about it with us. They will make a hire after spring ball. They'll get through spring ball and they make a higher. So not ideal timing, but that's not the top of mind right now. And also rest in peace, Devante Davis. A guy I never covered outside of when he'd come back to school, but just one of the

all-time O'I-9 grades, dead at the age of 35, just really, really unfortunate.

But we are focused on basketball on this podcast today, but I do want to mention those two

items here off the top, because Derek Piper, not a huge surprise.

Dane Danger, a very high impact player in the

postseason, is out. He is transferring, entering the transfer portal, and Illinois also adding

a transfer. Mercer, I guess forward, Jake Davis, he played the three, four, and the five at

at Mercer, not going to play the five at Illinois. I can guarantee you that, but a sharpshooter that Illinois is bringing in. Let's first talk about Dane Danger. This would not have been a surprise maybe a month ago, but given the month that he had, you and I were talking about it, does Illinois all out pushed it to keep him and center an offense around him? I think we got that answer today, Derek.
