Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast. I've been away for a week.

This is my first day back.

Yeah, welcome back. Yeah, thanks. First day back in the office. I was, I was, well, I was away for one week. I was out of the country. I was down in the Yucatan Peninsula with my family which was nice.

It's always good to get some sun and relaxation.

Yeah, yeah, well we you know we our whole family are like we're creatures of habit and we normally since we have a

young son's we kind of go away once a year during spring break and for whatever reason we just decided we should we should

do something at the end of the summer so yeah it was good and I was able to you know largely kind of break away from the news and I kind of

kept a little eye but I tried to follow my rules of not you know not engaging

and kind of just being in my own world.

So but a lot happened.

Yeah, I want to catch up on some news you may have missed over the last week,
