Welcome to Talking Scripture, I'm Mike and I'm Bryce. And today we're going to be an

ether one through five. Now, quick technical note. We're actually going to be doing

ether one through 6.

Bryce and I talked about it, we just think that that kind of fits with what we're planning

to do with this podcast.

And so just note that even though come follow me, says 1 through 5, we're going to do 1 through 6.

So with that, Moroni picks up this text, it's been translated by Mosiah, and Morona is like,

I want to put this in here.

And it is one of the biggest gifts of the book of Mormon. I am

so grateful for Marone. I am grateful that the Lord let Marone I live long enough

to give us the book of Ether because this at least the first six chapters the journey of

the geridites to America is extremely symbolic of our journey through mortality

and if you listen to Mike over podcasts, he tells you a lot about, you know,

chaos and darkness and the sea is very symbolic of mortality.

And for me, the beauty of this portion, the first six chapters of Ether, is because we get a

front row seat to see how Heavenly Father deals with his children. We get to see rules that govern revelation. Now I'm guessing
