I'm going to have a little bit longer of an intro today before we get to Mike because there's a lot going on.

First of all, Illinois football gets a big in-state commitment.

I'll talk about Andre Lovett, what he brings to Illinois, what he adds to the class, what this recruitingman means for the team.

We'll talk about all that here coming up.

But the Big Ten just announced it's basketball postseason awards so all big 10

teams uh the conference coach of the year player of the year freshman year all of that and illinois

has three all big 10 first second or third team selections for the second time in three years

which is only the second time since 2005, mind you, that they've had that.

So Brad Underwood is bringing talent back to this program and developing that talent very well.

Terrence Shannon Jr. earns first team all Big Ten honors from coaches and media today.

So people worried that he might not be first team because of the pending legal case with him.

That was not the case.

It was just hard to deny how good that he is.

During conference plays third in the conference in scoring, 21.7 points per game,

ninth in free throw percentage, 12th in field goal percentage,

15th in blocks.

He's just clearly one of the top couple players.
