So envelopes with cash checks were found behind the bathroom wall at Lakewood Church.

That's Joel Osteen's mega church in Houston, Texas.

It was reported on a morning radio show host George Lindsay of KPRC 2.

The person who called in said, hey, oh, it's a loose toilet in the wall and we removed the tile and we went to go remove the toilet and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes fell out of the wall.

And I was like, oh, wow, well, first, my question is, were you, were you like, oh, wow, was that after you stashed a bunch, say, let's, let's say that there were 500 envelopes found.

My plan would be, yep, there were 500 envelopes found 200 of them are in my bag, but, you know, I digress.

The caller explained that they discovered the envelopes filled with cash and immediately contacted the maintenance supervisor and had the money turned in.

Right. So apparently they, the church had like $600,000 in the form of cash and checks stolen back in 2014 and and credit information that was stolen back in 2014.

So that when asked about it, the church acknowledged that the money and the checks had been discovered and they, who was discovered while the repair work was being done, the Houston police are investigating.

It's a seven year old case. It involves the disappearance of $600,000. So this may be some or all of that. And if they were, if some of that were, were as insured, if the liquid church got insurance money for that theft, maybe they have to pay that back, but pretty incredible that they're finding, you know, envelopes of cash and checks behind the wall of a bathroom really does make you wonder, you know, why it was.

Is there what was it, was it put there after it was stolen and hopes they were going to come back and get it. I just really strange, really, really strange. And I don't want, you know, it's a, it's Joel. It's mega church. He's, you know, they're making some big money when they pass the hat. You and I both know that and it doesn't have anything to do with. I know I saw some headlines.

This is why churches should be taxed. Why? Because of stolen money behind a bathroom wall. That's just dumb. But pretty, pretty interesting. And I'll be fascinated to find out actually, you know, if we ever do where it came from and why it was there, but I promise you, I promise you that of the 500 envelopes that fell out of the wall.

That's where reportedly falling out of the wall. There had to have been at least 700 because no way. If I'm working, if I'm a plumber at the church and I pull out a toilet and a huge amount of envelope start falling down, I am a deep pocketing a few of them before I immediately go, oh, wow. And report it to the supervisor. But hey, that's just me, I guess.

I didn't realize that. I thought you could do it at any time. Well, boo. He talks about listening to AC DC. I guess it's 21 minutes of walking with Prince William. That's just in 20, 21 minutes of talk, 16 minutes of music. Okay. So you get that's 30.

You know, the stupid bit that we do on pat on lace from past to my 30 minute bit, but time to walk with Prince William is talking 21 minutes. Music is 16 minutes. That's 37 minutes. I can't stop thinking about it. You got 30 minutes. But so, but I didn't realize that you could just it wasn't on demand. That really kind of stinks. I mean, what are we doing here?

Let's all right. Now I'm pissed. I don't even want to promote it. I mean, I know that he's going to recount his charity concert for the homeless and he was singing with Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift. And, you know, he's playing music with the kids in the morning. And times are great. And they get the dance with the wife and the kids. And it's according even to one reviewer. I thought he might come across as an elitist, but man, he is accessible, open and unguarded.
