darma. And if you remember he began this teaching without lining the middle way, that is avoiding

the extremes of sense indulgence on the one hand or self-modification on the other.

And he then outlined the great framework of understanding suffering and its end in his teachings of the four noble truths, those truths that truly

in noble our lives. The first of them is coming to fully understand the truth of Duka.

This evening will explore the second noble truth that is the origin or the cause of

Duka. What are the conditions for its arising?

Remembering that while Dukka is often translated as suffering in a more comprehensive and more generally applicable way it means that which is unsatisfying or unreliable or stressful. This is from the Buddha's words of his first discourse. He said,

now this Bekus is the noble truth of the origin of Dukah. It is this craving which leads to

renewed existence, accompanied by delight and lust, seeking delight here and there.
