Specifically, how and why the reign of the Daly family came to an end in Chicago, and what

terrible financial shenanigans, Richard M. Daly, was allowed to get up to in order to hang

on to power long enough to outdo his father's record of holding the same office for 21 years.

And he did, 21 years.

R2D2, as he was once known, stayed on the fifth floor for 22 years and then got out as the political bills he had deferred had all started to come due.
