Bill and Melinda Gates are getting divorced.

Those crazy kids just ain't gonna make it.

They are asking for privacy right now,

which is ironic, given that they don't seem to care very much

about anybody else's privacy and a whole host of matters,

not even just tech, but whole aspects of public policy.

However, the reason the Gates divorce matters

and they're asking for privacy matters

is this actually is not a private matter.

And the idea that it is a private matter

lies at the heart of a lot of our political problems.
