The Appalachian Trail in the 70s wasn't such a big thing.

In the early 70s, there was only one person who'd walked the Appalachian Trail.

But in the early days, there weren't very many people, and that's where Alaska is right now.

It's the future of through hiking or through wilderness travel is Alaska. What an incredible place. If you've ever been there, I'm sure you felt by the time you left. It wasn't enough time.

It's one of those places that's just so big, so vast. You see some of it, you want to keep seeing more of it.
