One was from down the block, almost literally.

One is from across the country,

and one was all the way from England. And it was delightful. We had a ball. That was, in fact,

Andy from England, you heard during our introduction over the din of a restaurant here in Springfield. We talked a lot about science fiction and politics with other friends, and I was

somewhat intimidated because they were pulling things out that I hadn't read or hadn't read

in a long time, or their depth of knowledge was astonishing. It's very rare for me to sit there

and realize we're with a couple that knows much more and is much more ingrained in the science fiction world than

drift glasses.

Yeah.

And we learned a lot from them, right?

We drop an EE Doc Smith cut into the conversation, which I have read, but I'm like, damn,

I thought I was the only other person on earth who still read or knew about EE Doc Smith.

You know you're having a good time.

Yeah, it was really fun.
