and it tells the story of Christina Boyer, a child-media sensation who was dubbed

Polterkized Girl, and later convicted of murdering her three-year-old daughter, Amber.

So, born in Columbus, Ohio, Christina Boyer was placed for adoption by her biological mother,

whose heroin addiction preventator from providing a stable life for her.

Local children's services eventually found her a home with Joan and John Rush,

a well-regarded foster care couple in the community.

While they formally adopted Christina at age two and a half,

they took in many foster children housing sometimes as many as six children

of varying ages in their home.
