expect because they are a very mature team, very old team. But we also look forward to

bragging rights. We get into a conversation about playing freshmen on a team that's currently

number 13 in the country. We talk about, you know, the dynamic of the bragging rights game and the Transfer Portal era as well.

We got National Signing Day early on Wednesday.

We will be up and Adam at 6 a.m. at our usual spot and giving you all the updates is Illinois is set to welcome

19 signes that we know of currently committed Illinois all seem locked in to sign with

Illinois. There's always the potential for some surprises. Sidney Brown was a surprise back in 2018.

Macra Settich last year in February was a little bit of a surprise.

So we'll see if any of that happens. Of course, I think the transfer portal is kind of

overshadowed. The early signing period. Early signing period is basically the signing period,

right? I mean, for most prospects, say 80% now are signing in this early signing period.

But Illinois currently has the number 42 class in

the country and I wrote this today in my signing day primer I get how people if you're an

Illinois fan can kind of get you know a little cynical when you look at Illinois compared to the

rest of the big 10 in these recruiting rankings especially when you bring in Oregon in Oregon, who's a recruiting powerhouse, number seven class in the country.

You're bringing in USC that routinely gets top 20 recruiting classes.

And of course, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan.

But I always think there's some perspective.

Like, I don't know, my perspective of Illinois football is this.
