Senator Rand Paul rips into Fauci and accuses him of covering his ass. It was a spec down for sure, and it looks like the day of reckoning for Fauci is closer than ever.

You are not going to want to miss this, so let's dive right in.

Dr. Fauci, I don't expect you today to admit that you approved of NIH funding for gain-of-function research in Wuhan,

but your repeated denials have worn thin and a majority of Americans, frankly, don't believe you.

Even the NIH now admits that eco-health alliance did perform experiments in Wuhan that created viruses not found in nature that actually did gain in lethality.

All right, so really quick, if you're not sure with what's going on there, gain-of-function research is a line of research where scientists take viruses,

and they study how they might be modified to become deadlier or even more transmissible, and this supposedly helps scientists figure out which viruses threaten people the most so they can design countermeasures.

Now, of course, the risk in all of this is that the viruses that are being researched and made all the more deadly and transmissible could possibly escape the lab and infect the general population.

And Paul is pressing Fauci on, is the fact that Fauci's own NIH, the National Institutes of Health, has indeed admitted that he funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan, even though Fauci repeatedly denied that he ever did.

Back in April this year, the Wall Street Journal reported that the National Institutes of Health under the directorship of Fauci actually funded the Wuhan labs, research through an organization known as the Eco-health Alliance.

$2.7 million, and as Rand Paul's revealing here, officials at the NIH are openly admitting this that they did fund Eco-health and Eco-health and turn funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab in contradiction of Fauci's claims.

The facts are clear, the NIH did fund gain-of-function research in Wuhan despite your protestations.

Not all you want, but even the Chinese authors of the paper in their paper admit that viruses not found in nature were created, and yes, they gained an infectivity.

Your persistent denials, though, are not simply a stain on your reputation, but are clear and present danger to the country and to the world.
