Guys, welcome back the fourth installment for 2023 of the Turkey OG series here on DeerCast.

My co-host, Mark Jury, again, it's crazy even saying that and

12-year-old Kurt and also 32-year-old Kurt is freaking out right now because I have two of my childhood heroes on the same call on the same podcast.

So Mark Jury, Michael Waddle, I don't even know what I'm doing here. It's kind of hard to believe, honestly.

It's just this is a cool moment for me just so you guys know as we get into this.

It's cool for us Kurt because you're one of our heroes buddy. Easy. You are you are the best out there in the

podcast world and we're happy to be here with you today and I'm so happy Michael joined us and

Michael we've been doing this series about OGs and when Kurt first told me about OG like we were on a

podcast that he mentioned it and I didn't know what he meant when we got off the podcast I said what

what the hell is an OG? It was a original gangster I said oh god and then we started talking and he

said man we ought to do a series about turkey hunting OGs all right so I'm gonna start this podcast

out with a question for you. Name some OGs in your life from a turkey perspective. We've had

several with this series but a lot of these guys were like people that were instrumental to me as

I was coming along like give us your top six seven eight people that are OGs in your mind from a

turkey perspective. Oh goodness that's an exciting question because you know obviously I love

turkey hunting and no doubt I mean it's what got me into the industry and I know you know first

time that she was at a turkey color contest I think that's the world championship and yeah man

that's easy so so man obviously a lot of those OGs are not with us anymore they turkey hunting

in heaven right now chasing goblers you know people like you know Dick Kirby and you know some

is not with us like Billy McCoy holy cow um but a lot of the living legends in my opinion right
