really drove how I felt about myself for a long time. Now many of us are very hard on ourselves

for no valid reason. Some of us might believe that we're just indulging ourselves if we have

compassion for ourselves or that they might not be motivated if they don't criticize themselves or

that it's selfish to have compassion for yourself or that self compassion is for whims.

Nothing could be further from the truth. We've all made mistakes and purposefully or inadvertently
