So I didn't realize that gambling on marathons was a thing, but apparently it is.

An Illinois man crossed the finish line of a marathon in two hours and 15 minutes and

six seconds to become the first U.S. runner since 2001 to win the Quad Cities Marathon,

which is along the Mississippi River and Illinois and Iowa, and it's a big event.

I was looking at it saying, you know, it's bridges, rivers, roads, you know, it's a marathon.

All right.

Now, how did he win though?

He won because the two leaders of the race, two Kenyans who were winning followed the

leader the wrong way.

So I don't know, they could still be running.

I don't know.

They have a big party at the end of the race where they all get together.

I don't know if they were seen there or not.

It's part of the race program, but so according to this, according to the actual story, there's

an intersection that where you turn and according to the race professionals, the insiders of

the Quad Cities race, it's clearly marked and they should have known.

And the day before they did a walk through a job through a run through where they sent

them down in a room and go, here's your course.

This is where you run.

So they shouldn't have followed the bicyclists that was leading them.
