Sometimes the greatest danger doesn't come from a stranger in the night, but from the person sitting quietly beside you.

On the surface, it seemed like the perfect fresh start, a man rebuilding his life after heartbreak, finally finding love and creating the future he'd always dreamed of.

But beneath that hopeful story, something else was stirring stirring an obsession that would turn into

something far deadlier this isn't just a story about love found and lost it's

about how easily trust can disguise a predator and how one man's desperate attempt to

possess another would end in a plot twist too disturbing to imagine. Crime, conspiracy, cults, serial killers, and murder, all things that I love to consume,

and I know you do too, you sick, twisted, beautiful, intellectually-minded...

So today we are talking about a crazy case I was reading into, and I'm not going to give

too much away, but it is quite the plot twist at the end.

Eugene, or Gene Thernow, the second, was by all accounts, a man of warmth, dedication, and resilience.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Gene grew up with solid Midwestern roots and later served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.

And after a successful stint in the Air Force, he transitioned

into a career as an air traffic controller. Very stressful job. My grandpa used to do it for like 30

years. Hats off to the people in air traffic control if you're listening to this by chance.

But this is where his natural charisma quickly made him popular among colleagues. And at the Columbus
