Hey, guys, and welcome to the messy table, which happens to be an ordinary space for real women,

imperfect stories, and the God who's always at work in our mess.

I'm Jen Jewel, the host of this faith-fueled conversation-style podcast, which unleashes a

brand new episode into your earbuds every other Tuesday.

Y'all, we are partnered with the women of my church, Life Church, as well as some

incredible ladies and occasionally men from all over the Greater Capital C Church, who

courageously share pieces of their own stories so that we might see God's fingerprints in a million

different ways. Now, of course, as you already know, all of our stories look vastly different.

And honestly, we each have many stories and many layers throughout many seasons of life.

Some of those stories are messy because, well, as sinful humans, we sometimes make some

not-so-great decisions.

Other stories are messy but good, like starting a new business or raising tiny humans or training for a

marathon or making a delicious mess in the kitchen. But then there are other stories, stories so tender,

so heart-wrenching, stories that exist in what I call that delicate space between heaven and

earth. Moments that simply cannot be fully explained in the here and now, especially not with

words. Maybe you have a story like that. And you know what? It matters. All of the complex details,

your silent cries in your bedroom, even that strange, unexpected joy. You know, there's a beautiful

verse in Psalm 56 written by King David.

He wrote, You keep track of all my sorrows.

You've collected all my tears in your bottle.

You've recorded each one in your book.

Guys, this is one of those stories.
