Hi guys, welcome back to It's Me Tanks. Happy Halloween. October 31st. I cannot believe it.

I hope you all had a fantastic, safe weekend, partying and eating candy and making merry

with friends. That phrase always sounds wrong, making merry. I'm like, are we talking about

fucking here? Anyway, I wanted to talk to you today about body image in the holidays

because I know it can be a deeply upsetting and triggering time for so many of us with

the holidays. And I love the holidays. You guys know that it's fall is my favorite time.

I won't shut the fuck up about it. It's such a happy time. There is so much fun in the

fall. And I want to talk a little bit about how I experience the holidays and then give

some tips and just kind of talk you through it. It's not going to work for everybody.

I'm going to try not to qualify because you guys know I'm working so hard on that. So

again, this is opinion, not instruction. And I just hope that maybe if you have a tough

time, you can take something positive away from it and maybe listen to this back if you're

having a tough weekend or whatever because it is a wild time for food and everything.

And for me personally, I feel like my birthday is in September. And I usually have my birthday.

And then I have a bunch of birthdays in the fall. And then I feel like it just snowballs.

And I always gain weight in the fall and the holidays. Like I always do. I feel like

most people do. And for a long time, that really upset me and bothered me. And it was a

complex set of emotions because I love the holidays so much. Like Thanksgiving is my

favorite holiday and Christmas a close second. But I felt anxious because I knew what was

coming. And I'm not the type of person who can just not indulge. I love food. You guys

know that I love to drink. I love to party. I love to make Mary. I love to go to events.

I love to go to Christmas parties and have eggnog and drink wine and go to football games
