In the last two episodes, we have looked at near-death experiences and how our consciousness

0:07.0

is somehow able to relive our entire lives through multiple perspectives, sometimes when

0:12.3

our brain is off.

0:14.3

So, by now you've heard me explain why I think the following things.

0:18.1

One, the brain doesn't produce our consciousness. Two, our consciousness can exist

0:22.5

beyond death. We've talked about people who have returned to their bodies in a near-death

0:53.3

0:58.0

Here's my question.

0:59.0

If we can't see a person's consciousness when they are alive,

1:03.0

how do we know their consciousness is gone when the body is dead?

1:08.0

Why do we assume that what we can't see doesn't exist? For example,

1:13.6

our eyes can only see certain types of light. We can't see x-rays or infrared light, for example.

1:19.6

But we know they exist. So shouldn't we rethink our assumptions about consciousness?

1:24.6

If our consciousness isn't confined to our bodies,

1:28.3

why should it die when our body dies? When the physical body dies, what you've done is stopped

1:34.8

the restrictive mechanism of the physical brain and your conscious awareness is set free.
