What does it actually mean?

Well, as defined by Miriam Webster.

It means either one, having declined or become less specialized as in nature, character,

structure or function from an ancestral or former state.

Second definition is having sunk to a condition below that which is normal to a type, especially

having sunk to a lower and usually corrupt and vicious states.

So you're sinking to a lower state.

I wanted to ask you that question because it's always on my mind.

But actually in my head, I use that word probably more than I showed, but I think it's good

for us to recognize degeneration when we see it.

So I'll sometimes just be looking at a piece of news and think, well, what a total degenerate.

I mean, what this person is just degenerate.
