So I talked to him for an hour, but I asked him your questions.

I got a few questions in early about Illinois football,

just kind of resetting as we get ready for the final four games for a three and five football team,

certainly a disappointing record for Illinois.

But dive into your questions for Jay Lamon.

Some of them macro for Illinois football, some of them are very micro for this season.

So we'll dive into it with Jay Lane and we'll talk some football. And before we get into that, just a few highlights from today. I'm recording this part of the podcast after Brett Bielma's press conference today. he's still got refs top of mind.

Refs are very much top of mind for him, and he brought up not only Johnny Newton's targeting,

because like most, when he saw that the Iowa player who was called for targeting,

was overturned, and that he is now eligible, not suspended.

That raised an eyebrow for Brett B.N.

So he tried to exhaust every avenue he could to try and continue to appeal that.

But it was a decision that was final.
