Good news coming out of California.

Frustrated by out of control increases in drug overdose deaths.

They're trying to find a way to get people sober.

So they're gonna pay you to be sober.

All you have to do is say,

yeah, I'm gonna quit doing the drugs I'm on and I'll get a check.

And then if you get a negative drug test after that,

they raise it to give you more money.

It doesn't say in the story after I stay I'm going to participate

in the contingency management program,

whether or not I test positive,

how many times before they cancel the check.

So if I say, yeah, I'm gonna be sober.

Give me that check for $300, please.

And then I use a 300 to go buy some more

of whatever drug I'm using.

If I test positive the next time,

because I won't get the raise.

I know that, okay.

I won't get the extra money.
