Rock and roll. It begins on May 24th of 2019 in New Canaan, Connecticut. Jennifer Doulos, a 50-year-old mom of five, dropped her kids

off at school in the morning, and then simply vanished. New Canaan was a super safe town,

so local mom groups were terrified that this was just a random act and that it could have

happened to any one of them. But once investigators started peeling back the layers

of her contentious marriage, the reality became clear that this was not a random disappearance

at all. Targeted. So Jennifer Doulos was born Jennifer Farber on September 27th of 1968

to parents Gloria Ortenberg and Hilliard Farber.

She was born in New York City and has an older sister, Melissa Farber.

Her dad was a banker and actually became the youngest vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank.

Oh, dang.

Yeah, self-made millionaire, big time.

Ballin.

Up in Connecticut.

Yes.

And, well, in New York City.

It's like a Jordan Belfort style.

This was in New York City.

Anyway, so her mom was a philanthropist.

And get this, her aunt-in-law, Elizabeth Claiborne, along with her husband

Arthur Ortenberg, which would have been Jennifer's mom's brother. So Jennifer's uncle, married Elizabeth.
