Hello, everybody, Tom Woods here.

We got another long episode today.

We had a long episode at the beginning of the week with the debate on free trade,

but I hope you'll forgive me on this. I am really happy with this particular episode. This is

actually a recording of an appearance I did on somebody else's podcast, and I haven't done that in a

while. I just haven't been able to make it work, but I really like Isaac Morehouse

and I like what he's doing. So this is my appearance on the Isaac Morehouse podcast, and I think,

or at least I hope you're going to enjoy it. This is what we might call maybe a meta episode in

that, yeah, there's probably a little history or maybe a little

economics in there but it's more of a story of how how i did it uh that is to say you know

how i went from how i wrote books that did well and how i um to second-guess publishers when necessary, how I've basically been able to make a go of things on my own without a, you know, without strictly an employer.

But also, what I like about this episode is that I wasn't planning to do it, but I spontaneously revealed some of my flaws.

And it's not just that, oh, I work too hard.

You know, what kind of a flaw is that?

Oh, he works so hard.

That's the sort of thing that you say when you're in a job interview and they say, what's

your biggest weakness?

And, you know, you give some fluff answer like,

well, I'm too hard on myself. I'm a perfectionist. I mean real live flaws that I've really been trying
