Hi, welcome to Big Fat Positive with Shauna and Laura. This week we have our weekly check-ins. We have our special segment, Today I Learned, where things get fishy, and we have our weekly BFPs and BFNs. Let's get to it.

0:15.5

Hi, everyone. Welcome to the show. This is episode 67. Hi, Shauna. Hey. Hey, you want to tell me how you're doing and how old your baby is this week?

0:25.7

You betcha. Cissy is nine months old. Oh my gosh. Which feels huge, right? Nine months in the belly. Nine months out of the belly. In and out. Yes. It's wild. Although she was technically in my belly less because I had that C-section a week before her due date and whatever. IVF insertion two weeks after. That's true. That's true. Yes. Cut that time down a little bit. I know. I remember you were very jealous of that. I was, although I have to say that, you know, you don't notice the first two weeks. And for the amount of, like, suffering you had to go through to get her in there, I'm not that jealous. Just a different kind of suffering. And then I ended up having my baby early because I had a plan C-section too. That's true. It all evened out.

1:10.8

It all worked out.

1:13.1

But so it's been fun.

1:15.4

She has started babbling like a madwoman.

1:20.5

Oh, good.

1:20.9

Of course, am so relieved.

1:23.0

It's like, it's almost like I saw the look in her eye the day that she realized she had a voice.

1:30.8

She like did something.

1:32.7

And like almost like was taken aback in her eyes.

1:36.6

I could see that she was like, oh, that was me.

1:39.6

I made that sound.

1:40.7

Oh my gosh.

1:41.8

So I don't think she had realized that before.

1:43.8

And so of course once she realized that she was off and running and very excited to just babble. Oh, my gosh. So what kind of babbling? So there's a lot of rah, rah, rah, which I was like raw, like, R. You're going to go with, like, one of the hardest letters to say, okay, good for you. And and ga, ga, ga, ga, ga. Like a lot of ah vowels and then ga, gagga, wah, wah, you know, it's just, oh, it's so cute. It is so cute. I love it, yeah. I love when they're so chatty. Like, my guy's very chatty. I'm sure you've noticed. And it's just like, we have little conversations. Mostly they're him going, dad, da, da, da, da. And I'm like, no dad is at work. How about mama? And he looks at me. I'm like, mama, because he still doesn't say mama. He's like, I'm like, mama, say mama, which is also supposedly one of the like easier consonants, right? The M. No, no, Mama. He's like, I'm like, Mama, say Mama, which is also supposedly one of the easier consonants, right? The M.

2:35.5

No, no, Mama. He's like, I'm like, Mama, say Mama. And he goes, looks at me and he gets this really, like, very serious look in his eyes. And he goes, Dadda.

2:45.0

He is messing with you. It reminds me of that book written by Jimmy Fallon. Have you seen this board book? It's called Dadat. I know it exists. Yes. My mother-in-law wanted to get that because she was like, I really want him to say Dad-Dat first. I'm like, well, we didn't even need the book. It just happened. I will say it did nothing for Elle in teaching her how to say Dad-D before any other words. Because we had this one with Elle. It's like, you know, each little, for people who don't know, each little animals like trying to teach their baby animal to say da-da. So like the cow is like, da-da! And then the baby cow is like, moo. And the pig is like, dad-da. And the baby baby pig says oink. So it's really funny. It's

3:25.7

cute. And I think he made one from Mama, too. So I think we both need to run out and get that one

3:30.8

right away. Because clearly that's how they're going to learn to say Mama is from a book by

3:35.5

Jimmy Fallon. Yeah. Somehow I don't think that's going to happen. Who knows? Who knows? He's just trolling me with his dad-d-as for now, so.

3:44.6

Yes, yes, he is.
