Where's the church going?

I have faith that the Constitution will be saved as prophesied by Joseph Smith.

But it will not be saved in Washington.

It will be saved by enlightened members of this church.

My name is Bryce Blankanagle, and thank you for joining me. On this episode, Joe Bennett, or as we know him, broke it, and Thompson joined forces to draft the Navu Charter for approval by the Illinois State Legislature.

We read right through the whole thing, because, you know, that's how we do things on this show.

The Navu Charter was essentially a copy and paste of the Springfield

city charter, but there were a few subtle additions which enshrined the city of Navu as a sanctuary

to Joe and the Mormons and created a separate military arm, the Navu Legion, as the law enforcement

agency through which Joe exercised

nothing short of martial law under the banner of his newly founded religious theocracy.

Joe was untouchable. We have a lot to get to today. It's just history for today. And,

well, let's get into it.
