Hi, everybody, Tom Woods here. John Moody's back with us because I knew the last time we talked,

we had a lot more to talk about. And in particular, we're going to talk about meat. We're going to

talk about farming and we're going to talk about government regulation.

And in particular, what I want to start off with is a discussion of something I didn't even know about until, frankly, just this week.

And that's the Wholesome Meat Act of 1967. I mentioned it at the end of yesterday's episode because it's one of these things

that is worded and named in such a way that you feel like there's no way you could oppose it.

And that's exactly, of course, the way they want it. Who could be against wholesome meat?

But it turns out that as usual with Orwellian titles, Orwellian names for particular bills, there's more

to this than meets the eye. And John is going to talk to us about it and what people are trying

to do about it today to put things right. John Moody is a small farmer, author, and speaker

who serves as executive director of the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund.
