0:45.0	Leading the Ethereum team from proof of work to proof of stake, that was a big deal.
0:50.6	I remember when this happened.
0:52.0	It wasn't too long ago.
0:53.2	I think it was like a year or two or
0:54.4	maybe even a little bit more at this point, losing track of time over here. But that was a really,
1:00.2	really big transition. What was that like? And I guess also, like, why did we do that in the first
1:06.9	place? These are great questions. I look back at the switch from proof of work to proof of stake as one of our biggest
1:14.6	achievements in Ethereum.
1:16.6	It's obviously one of the most complex things Ethereum has ever done.
1:21.4	My role, I'm a core developer on Ethereum.
1:25.0	I work on the PRISM consensus client.
1:33.3	Cool thing about Ethereum is they have this kind of an insurance policy on client implementations where we have this idea behind client diversity, where we build multiple implementations of the same thing.
