What your electronics are not revealing and showing to you. Hey, everybody, Joe Simons, like diamonds. Hey, Luke Simons. We're back. We're talking about electronics,

fish finders, if you will.

We've got a lot of questions about what fish finders should I get. What electronics do you have on

your boat or kayak? And truth be told us, we don't use them that often. And it shocks a lot of people.

Heck, our garment on our pathfinder is kind of busted up right now. I think we got a new one's

going to get installed soon. But I haven't really worried about it because we really don't use it unless you're,

you know, near shore, offshore, then certainly.

But this particular podcast is going to be about insured saltwater fishing.

And one of the questions that kind of created this podcast or led into it was someone

was saying, hey, I got a new boat.

I only have enough money for either a PowerPol, you know, an acre, or a fish finder or a trolling motor. So it's like one of those three. And, you know, thankfully everyone was like, dude, if you only get, you only get a troll motor, like that's a game changer versus like Powerball, you can just $89

stick a pen, and you certainly don't need a fish

finder if, and said I'm I'm in sure saltwater fishing going after redfish speckled trout near a snook and flounder on the on the flats and so we wanted to address this I think it's so important they'll save you a lot of money we're not poo poo pooh-poo and fish finders think you're great you know especially if you're fishing in deeper water. But in the shallows, and Luke's going to do a little demonstration here using, I assume, smart fishing spots. It's really, really not needed. So we'll talk about some of the things that you would never see on a fish finder. And ultimately, why you shouldn't rely on it to be consistent as an angler. Yeah. And again, that's one thing that, like, I have one on my, on my little skiff, but I rarely

ever use it for, for, like, knowing the depths because I'm usually, I usually have a map

up where, like a map like this, a satellite view map.
