Hey guys, welcome back to the show.

Today we are going to be interviewing Julie Goldstein about the issue of trans children.

Now if you've watched the show before, you'll know that when it comes to trans kids,

I just do not believe that children are old enough or mature enough to be able to do something

like determine their own gender.

Julie, however, disagrees with that and she actually reached out to me wanting to share her perspective.

As an activist, Julie is extremely well informed about the procedures and guidelines that currently surround children transitioning.

Regardless of how you or I might feel about trans children, it's important to remember that the views that Julie holds are now what's considered in many ways

standard in Western medicine. In the medical, the psychiatric, the psychological

community right now, Julie's views are considered mainstream.

Honestly, a doctor is more likely to agree with her than with me.

These are the opinions, these are the viewpoints, the mentality that we are dealing with,

and I think it is so important that we understand them.

So with that being said I am hugely thankful to Julie for being willing to come on here

and talk about these issues which I know are controversial.
