I finally figured out how to take the metronome off when we record. That was fun. Take three. All right. Oh, my goodness. So this one's a big one for me because... It is, man. This is one of my, like... I'm not going to say childhood heroes because I was a young adult by the time I picked up on these guys, but... You were a total child. I was. I'm still a child. Still a child, too. I'm an old child with a beard. But, no, he's one of my favorite lead singers, probably my favorite lead singer, and it's my heavier angry side. This is my gym music. I didn't know this about you until we were friends for a while, you have this this angry metal side yes so people

So like this, so I have this heavy side, you know, so I can, because I just don't understand people go to the gym and they're trying to get that extra rep by listening to like top 40 like euro pop and I'm like how is that pumping you up it's not working I don't

after a concert and you know you have those days where you're like you feel like like the world's best salesman? Oh, yeah. This was not that day. I remember, though, that you were, you were giddy, man. You were so excited when you, when you, like, approached him. Because you, like, I think it was that night. You were just, like, blowing my phone up with text. Like, dude, I've got a great idea for episode. This guy's been through it. He's seen the crap of CCM. He has been screwed over by the industry. He's angsty. He's rethought his faith. He's had a journey. Like, it would just be a great conversation. Perfect. Yeah. I mean, it just happened to fit so well. But, like, that night, I was definitely not having, like an awesome salesman moment. So I just kind of walked up and I was like,

I'm like, hey, man, I got this podcast. We do this thing. And he was just like, if you're asking if I'll do it, I'll do it. And I was like, okay, but then I felt the need to continue to pitch it for some reason. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, and then, like, I totally, he gave me the email address to email him, and I promptly forgot it as soon as they got back to the car because my brain was mush. Yeah. Fortunately, we have mutual friends in the industry, so I was like, hey, dude, I know you got his contact. You had the heart eye emoji. Heart eyes? Seriously. Yeah, you were the heart-eye emoji.
