Out of the gate today, I have to share a quote, two quotes from Nassim Talib.

So spot on. Not a perspective I would have understood completely at age 17. But now it's gold. Absolutely gold.

Now I know Talib can be considered controversial. He has very strong opinions.

But hear me out for a second. To quote him,

start by being warm, pleasant, and generous with every person you meet.

But if someone tries to exercise power over you, exercise power over him.

And if he messes with you, remember to keep messing with him long after he has forgotten about it, end quote.

Taliban's doggedly determined revenge, particularly when delayed and unexpected,

That makes me recall back to, I believe, sixth grade.

There was this guy who was bullying me for years, and I wasn't a special athlete at that age.

What is that, 11, 12 years old?

And this kid was just always pushing on me for years.

But you know, at that age, perhaps before puberty or as puberty is happening, you know,

sometimes you're just not really sure what to do.
