white supremacist attack on a grocery store in Buffalo, an organization almost exclusively

led by white people in suburban Virginia called the National Compassion Fund. Basically steered

all of the fundraising for Buffalo victims to their fund. Now people in Buffalo right away

raised a red flag to say, hold on, I don't even know these people. Who are these people? Why are we

giving them money? What is this all about? And millions and millions of dollars went to this fund

overseen by a group called the National Compassion Fund in Virginia. And they've been telling people

that it was going to at first, it was going to be weeks than months, then several months,

then maybe six months, then maybe it'll be 2023 in the meantime. And here's the thing.

Here's the rub. And I'll talk about you, Valdi, and what's starting to unfold here in just a second.

This this organization and this fund has its roots and origins in working with a lot of white

people who have money and can wait a few weeks or a few months or a year to receive the funds.

But both the community in Buffalo and the community in Valdi that was deeply impacted,

those communities can't wait. They need that money right away. And so what we've seen in Buffalo

is the is the exact same thing we're seeing in you, Valdi. In both Buffalo and you, Valdi,

millions of dollars in you, Valdi, $14 million is sitting in a bank waiting for these families.
