Chuck Arfine here, and I actually taped two podcasts today. This one is with Jason Benetti.

And on Thursday, we've got 2005 World Series

Hero Scott Pesednik. He comes on the podcast and he cries. I made Scott Petsednik cry. He was welling

up tears in his eyes. He had trouble getting the words out. You're wondering, why did Scott cry?

Well, when you toil in the minor leagues for like eight or nine years and then become

a World Series hero, you might end up crying.

And I saw it leave, and I let out this, you know, this fist pump and this, this yell, this genuine emotional yell from as deep as it gets.

And in that yell was thoughts of my father when I was younger.

There were thoughts of the nine-year grind in the minor leagues, all the injuries, all the time I had spent out by

myself training, you know, doing these drills, and you get to that last one, and you get to

that threshold where this is where you really start making a difference, and you continue

to push through it, and you continue to fight.

And I just had all these thoughts of all those years pour out.

And then I knew that all that was for a reason.

So that's coming up on Thursday.

But for this podcast, it's Jason Benetti, who doesn't cry. But he does go deep into his

crazy 24-hour journey over the weekend. I don't know how he did this. I couldn't. He called the

White Sox game, hopped on a plane that night for Tallahassee to call a Florida State college football

game the next day, then flew right back to Chicago to announce the White

Sox Royals game that night. And it ends up being even crazier than I thought it was.
