| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Gritty Podcast. I'm your host Brian Cullen. I'm joined today by my brother, the Gritty Broman. How are you, Brent? |
| 0:07.0 | I'm well. Thank you. Right on. We are back. I am back. Brent's back. We're both back. We're both back. I'm back fresh from like a month of bear hunting, roughly. |
| 0:20.0 | It was epic. We had some incredible experiences like we do every season. We went to some remote places, got into some places that some humans will never, most humans will never see. |
| 0:32.0 | We had some encounters with wolves, which resulted in perhaps maybe a wolf taken, but that's the story you haven't got into yet. |
| 0:42.0 | Also, we got into some country with drizz and we had some drizz encounters, which were pretty intense. We've got some of that as well. Then we all took some beautiful black bears and some beautiful country. |
| 0:56.0 | In fact, we were able to hunt down red lightning relocate them from last year and chocolate 2.0 from one of our later hunts that we did. We actually found both those bears in the same general area. |
| 1:12.0 | And then we took them. Did you? Yeah, we got them both. It's very crazy. You know, it's interesting. We wondered if these bears would be in the same area similar time of year. |
| 1:25.0 | As they were the year before or would they be miles from that spot in another spot. A lot of times you can find mule deer in the same area or elk in the same area year over year. |
| 1:36.0 | Bears, I think it's also the case. I mean, we demonstrated that on this hunt. I think that there's possibilities that bears get pushed out here and there. |
| 1:46.0 | But Ryan and I talked about it and the older bears probably don't move much. I mean, they're the boss. They own that area. I don't know how old these two bears were. |
| 1:57.0 | They're mature and they're big and they're they're bossy in those areas. |
| 2:01.0 | And I suspect that they kind of own the basins there and it's prime country because they're the big boars in the area. |
| 2:11.0 | And I think that that's so you're going to find them year over year in those places. So anyway, pretty cool. |
| 2:21.0 | But today's podcast is actually about initial assent backpacks. I have my seek outside backpack is still being built. I should get it sometime soon. Kevin Tam should be sending it to me and I'm going to rock with that one. |
| 2:35.0 | As soon as I get it, I haven't actually tested it and put it through the paces. This podcast is with the founders and owners of initial assent, Dennis Stokes and Joe Elliston. |
| 2:45.0 | And we get together. They actually came down here. This is about a two months old almost this podcast. They actually came down here hung out. We went over the pack. |
| 2:55.0 | They broke it down for me kind of how they came up with the design that we go over that how the company came to be what the design is based on. This is not like a me to pack. It's quite unique in in every way from like another pack. |
| 3:10.0 | And I was saying that the other day when you compare, for example, a seek outside backpack to a initial assent. |
| 3:19.0 | And then to maybe the other packs, the initial assent seek outside are vastly different from the other platforms. I would say there's some similarities between like a Kaffiru XO and a stone in the way that their frames are built different though, especially I'd say stone glaciers quite a bit different from from a from a Kaffiru. |
| 3:42.0 | I would say, but but more similar. I mean, this initial assent is super unique. So same with seek outside. Like I said, I haven't tested the seat just yet haven't run it. But I'm basically back from using the initial assent for four weeks. |
| 4:00.0 | So I'm going to record a podcast and let y'all know what my impressions are, what you know where I'm at with this pack. But before I do that, I want you to get introduced to the owners and I want you to get introduced to the whole idea. |
| 4:15.0 | Like I think that this this podcast you're about to hear is extremely useful for setting a foundation and then then I'll follow up right away with a review of how it performed just just early just just to give you a quick. |
